Emperor Oyen Foundation Empowers Students Across Remo with NECO Fee Support
The Emperor Oyen Foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to uplifting communities through various initiatives focused on education, youth empowerment, elderly care, orphan support, and community development programs. Recently, the foundation made a significant impact by disbursing payments for the NECO examination fees to students enrolled in the 36 public schools within the Remo region. This initiative not only eases the financial burden on families but also encourages students to pursue their academic aspirations with less stress.
The grand finale of the presentation of letters to the selected beneficiaries took place on March 19, 2025, at the Soyindo Palace Hall in Sagamu, Ogun State. The event served both as a celebration of educational empowerment and a showcase of the foundation’s commitment to fostering a brighter future for the youth. It gathered a diverse group of attendees, including notable community leaders who share the foundation’s vision.
Among the attendees were the Youth President of Sonyindo, represented by Comr. Oluwagbemiga Adebola, and the Youth President of the Sagamu Youth Association, Lawal Isiaka, popularly known as Ambassador Easy. Their presence underscored the critical role that youth leadership plays in driving positive change within the community. Additionally, Mrs. Rabi’u, the Head of the Local Government Education Authority (SLGEA), was also in attendance, emphasizing the local government’s commitment to educational development.
The event witnessed the proud parents of the beneficiary students, along with their school teachers, who came to support and celebrate the achievements of their students. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and hope as students were given letters confirming their financial assistance, a testament to the foundation’s relentless efforts toward making education accessible.
Furthermore, as part of the event, a symbolic presentation was made to support literacy, numeracy, and project exhibition competitions organized for primary school students within the Sagamu Local Government Area. This initiative, spearheaded by Mrs. M. K. Rabiu, the Head of Academic and School Services at SLGEA, is aimed at fostering a love for learning and encouraging creativity among young learners.
Through these initiatives, the Emperor Oyen Foundation continues to play a crucial role in building a resilient community, empowering the youth, and supporting the education sector in Ogun State. Their dedication to these causes serves as an inspiration, highlighting the positive impacts that can be achieved when organizations prioritize the well-being and development of their communities.
