Enoh Commits to Restoring MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja

Sen John Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, has promised to bring back the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja to its former glory. He made this commitment during a recent event.
He made this pledge during the inspection tour of the sprawling national monument sitting on 29 hectares (72 acres) of land.

The stadium is splited into Package A, where the Main Bowl with a seating capacity of 60,000 is located, and Package B, which includes various facilities like basketball courts, the NFF office, volleyball courts, tennis courts, and squash courts.

The minister emphasized that the Moshood Abiola National Stadium has the potential to become one of the top multi-purpose stadium complexes in Africa. He assured that he will prioritize infrastructural development to make this vision a reality.

Having witnessed both the ups and downs, I must agree that this stadium is truly a remarkable national symbol. It offers a unique blend of amenities that are hard to find elsewhere.

He said, Since 2003, the stadium has faced numerous challenges. Under my leadership, the ministry will make every effort to restore all parts of the stadium, including the athletes’ hostel, because providing the best facilities is crucial for athletes to excel.
