FAMILY IN ISARA COMMUNITY, OGUN STATE WARNS THE PUBLIC OF ACTIVITIES OF LAND GRABBERS
Family members of Sokabi in Isara Remo of Ogun State have warned members of the public not to patronise some unscrupulous people who are planning to sell their land to innocent victims.
They said some unscrupulous elements masquerading as members of the public were trying to illegally sell 55 hectares of land to unsuspecting victims
Head of the family, Mr. Babafemi Sokabi, said his conscience would not permit him to watch innocent members of the public enter into trouble by buying land that is under dispute in a court. Sokobi, therefore, warned members of the public to stay away from their family land.
“Someone, who claimed to be a member of the Sokabi family, had earlier leased the land to CCECC without our consent, which is now a subject of litigation at Ijebu Igbo High Court with suit No: HCS /209/2012. The purported lease agreement was due for renewal in October 2022.
“That is why we have decided to warn people to stay away from the land, to avoid being disappointed. In view of the litigation on the subject matter of 55 hectares out of the vast lands, I want to warn the general public or corporate entity not to enter in any form of agreement with individuals or unauthorised representatives,” he said.
