Fatal Attack: Man Shot Dead While Lounging in His Balcony in Abeokuta

A sense of shock and fear grips Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, following the tragic shooting of a man in front of his residence.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, disclosed that the assailants, riding in an unregistered Toyota Corolla, descended on the victim while he was relaxing on his balcony on Sunday.

The gunmen swiftly fled the scene after fatally shooting the man in the head, leaving him in a pool of blood. Promptly alerted by neighbors who heard the gunfire, the police arrived at the scene to find the victim lifeless.

Despite efforts by doctors at the State Hospital, Abeokuta, to revive him, the man was pronounced dead, and his body was transferred to the hospital’s morgue for further examination.

As investigations commence into the ruthless attack, no arrests have been made, heightening concerns about the safety and security of residents in the area.
