FRSC Shakes Up Leadership: 20 New Sector Commanders Assume Office

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced a significant reshuffle, deploying new Sector Commanders to 20 states across Nigeria.

According to a statement issued by Olusegun Ogungbemide, Acting Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), this move aims to bolster operational efficiency and enhance service delivery.

Furthermore, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed emphasized that the redeployment is designed to drive the Corps’ policy thrust and revitalize field command activities. The move is also intended to reposition the Corps for greater performance and quality service delivery, Mohammed noted.

However, the new appointments also bring notable changes to key positions. Corps Commander Maxwell Lede, formerly the Principal Staff Officer II to the Corps Marshal, will now helm the Plateau State Sector Command (RS4.1). Meanwhile, Tijani Muhammed, the outgoing Zonal Head of Operations for RS10HQ Sokoto, has been appointed Sector Commander for Kano (RS1.2).

Moreover, Saliau Ibrahim will transition from leading the Kano Sector Command to assume leadership of the Jigawa Sector Command. Adeoye Irelewuyi, the former Anambra State Sector Commander, will take the reins as Sector Commander for Ogun State.
