Governor Abiodun Receives Participants of Senior Executive Course 45, 2023

Participants of the Senior Executive Course 45, 2023 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, have been received by Governor Dapo Abiodun in Ogun State. During the meeting, the Governor spoke about the constitutional amendment that has removed power generation from the exclusive list to the concurrent list.
This means that power generation and distribution can now be done by the state, providing more power to major towns and cities, and subsequently to smaller towns. The Governor also spoke about the launch of two new programs: E-mobility and Gas Mobility. These programs will enable mass transit buses to run on Gas, while tricycles and motorcycles will run on electricity. The Governor is optimistic that these initiatives will cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal currently being experienced by the people of the state.
The Senior Executive Course 45, 2023 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, is currently on a six-day study tour of Ogun State. During the tour, the participants have been able to witness firsthand the rich culture and wonderful people of the Gateway State.
Governor Dapo Abiodun received the participants in audience and enjoined them to enjoy and have a pleasantly memorable experience of the state. He also spoke about the state’s plans to launch new programs that would enable mass transit buses to run on Gas, while tricycles and motorcycles will run on electricity.
The launch of the E-mobility and Gas Mobility programs is expected to be a major boost for the people of Ogun State. The programs will provide an alternative source of energy for mass transit buses, tricycles, and motorcycles, which are widely used in the state. The Governor is confident that these initiatives will help to improve the lives of the people in the state and reduce the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
