GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN ADMINISTRATION INNOVATION WILL IMPROVE INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT IN SCHOOLS: ARIGBADU
The Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu during the commissioning ceremony and handing over of a school hall and borehole donated to Sopen Comprehensive High School, Ijebu-Igbo by the family of Late Olori-Ilu Amos Olatunji Ogunbanjo said the intervention of the governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun administration has witnessed immense turn around in the infrastructural development in schools across the state
The commissioner appreciated the family of Late Pa. Ogunbanjo for deeming it worthy to contribute to the development of the school through their donation, he said that support and collaboration from well-meaning individuals and organizations would bring about notable improvement and development in schools while urging the school to make good use of the school hall, he also called on the students to imbibe the spirit of giving back to their alma mater.
The Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, His Majesty, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba said giving to the development of education is a notable achievement and legacy which everyone must strive to leave behind.
The former Deputy Governor and Senator in the State Alhaji Adegbenga Kaka who was also present commended the state government for the timely intervention in the renovation of the classrooms and promised that the community would continue to join hands in improving the education sector.
Chief (Mrs.) Modupe Owosina on behalf of the donating family explained that their father’s love for education inspired them to donate to the school, she posited that the hall would help tremendously for myriad uses such as the general assembly, literary, debating, and cultural activities, prize giving events and many more.
