Governor Dapo Abiodun Collaborates with New GOC of 81 Division to Strengthen Security

Governor Dapo Abiodun, yesterday received the new General officer commanding (GOC), 81 Division (comprising Ogun and Lagos states) of the @HQNigerianArmy, Major General Mohammed Usman.

Governor Dapo in a social media post wrote ” We stated that the quest to improve on the security architecture of the state was necessary as a result of its strategic location as the industrial, religious and educational capital of the country causing immigration into the region which has put a lot of pressure on its security.

“Currently, our   administration has revived OP-MESA and set up a task force to patrol the Ogun state part of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway which has reduced the menace of kidnapping.

“We appreciated the men of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for their untiring efforts and further mentioned that the state would soon embark on the distribution of palliatives to ease the burden of fuel subsidy removal and stated that the help of the military men would be appreciated to ensure orderliness during the distribution” the governor added.
