GROUP MAKES CHANGES TO THE CLASSROOMS OF OGUN STATE LOW-INCOME SCHOOLS

Three classroom blocks at Lucida Ephataz Model School, Ilasa, Iyana-Iyesi, Ota, Ogun State, got renovated by Brace-up The young group, on September 10, as part of her effort to help low-income schools.

According to the organizers, the BTY project tagged “Better School Project” was aimed at renovating 60 classrooms in 20 low-income schools in Nigeria.

The Director said, “Most students in low-income communities learn in dilapidated classrooms, without roofing, proper flooring, windows, and doors. Some even learn under trees or in open fields due to the poor state of their school building affecting their learning outcomes.” Fajemirokun also said the project sought to renovate 57 more classrooms in 19 low-income schools in Nigeria within five years.

The school Proprietress, Abiola Olaniyi, appreciated the group, noting that their intervention would improve the teaching and learning process.
A senior student, Rodiat Akinfenwa, expressed her excitement about the project, she said conducive classrooms would aid the learning process.
