In a show of compassion and support, the NGO “Hands of God Widows Support Initiative” organized a remarkable session for widows in Sagamu. Held at the palace of the Aminisan of Omo Sagamu, the event brought together widows from the community who eagerly gathered to benefit from the assistance provided by the NGO.
During the session, the widows were offered a range of benefits designed to uplift them in various aspects of their lives. Some of the women in attendance received financial support to boost their businesses, providing them with a much-needed helping hand. Additionally, the widows were encouraged to bring their children who were keen to learn a skill or vocation, with the promise of empowerment to follow.
The Aminisan Oko, Oba Gabriel Babatunde Adekunle Odunayo, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the NGO for their initiative in bringing such support to the people of Sagamu. He also appealed to the government to organize more empowerment programs specifically tailored to widows, recognizing the challenges they face in their day-to-day lives.
This event serves as a reminder of the importance of rallying together as a community to uplift and empower those in need.
