Headline: NNPP Ogun State: Chairman Denies Factional Split

The Caretaker Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, Prince Ibrahim Adekunle, has emphatically stated that Olaposi Sunday Oginni and his associates are not affiliated with the party in the state. Adekunle reiterates that, under his leadership, the NNPP in Ogun remains undivided and dismisses Oginni’s group as expelled members due to alleged anti-party activities.

Adekunle asserts that last year, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party expelled Oginni and others, emphasizing their removal was a consequence of engaging in activities contrary to the party’s principles. He further clarifies that, under his watch, the NNPP in Ogun stands united, debunking any claims of factionalism.

The NNPP in the state extends congratulations to its members nationwide for the triumph at the apex court regarding a gubernatorial election matter in Kano State. In a statement by the party’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Olowu Omokehinde, the NNPP expresses gratitude to its members and affirms its commitment to a cohesive and undivided presence across Ogun’s 20 local government areas.

Adekunle concludes by emphasizing that any individual portraying themselves as the state chairman aside from him is fraudulent, cautioning that such impersonation will not be tolerated. This serves as a resolute declaration against any perceived faction within the NNPP in Ogun State.
