Husband Set Ablaze by Wife in Ogun State Domestic Dispute
A woman allegedly set her husband on fire in the Iperu area of Ogun State following a heated argument. The victim, Abidemi Ayinde, a special constable with the Ogun State Police Command, suffered severe burns and is currently receiving medical attention.
According to the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the incident occurred on December 12, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m. at No. 20 Igboore Street in Iperu. The dispute between the couple, Abidemi and Sarah Ayinde, reportedly started as a minor disagreement but escalated into a violent confrontation. The wife, Sarah Ayinde, allegedly set her husband on fire, leaving him with severe burns.
The victim was quickly rushed to Bolawatife Hospital for medical attention and is currently in stable condition. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to apprehend the suspect, who remains at large. The authorities are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Sarah Ayinde to come forward and assist in the investigation.
