IF WORSE COMES TO WORST, WE WILL FIGHT BANDITS WITH ANIMALS:AMOTEKUN BLOWS HOT

Following the government’s failure to provide sophisticated weaponry for the Western Nigeria Security Network (Code named AMOTEKUN) in combating bandits, terrorists, and activities of other Criminal elements in the west, the Security outfit has threatened that it will fight bandits with animals like bees and poisonous snakes if need be.

This was made known by the Chairman of Oyo State Command of the unit, General Kunle Togun (Retd.) while delivering a lecture at the special meeting of the Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF) which was held at the weekend in Otu Township Hall, Otu, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State.

General Kunle said that he had traveled to as far as the” Ibariba” area to see great hunters on his plan, in his opinion, it would change the perspective of the warfare in the world since the security outfit will not be fighting with” physical weaponry”.

General Togun stated that the southwest cities were a major target for these marauding bandits and herdsmen, this was because of the vast land space and that a city like Oyo is close to foreign borders and body of thick forest where they could hide and attack the people undetected.

He said,” These People are coming to Oke-Ogun in trailers and some of our traditional Rulers allowed this in their domains, although people took pictures and videos which were posted online” he has vowed that they will not stop talking about it

He accused the President, Major General Mohammed Buhari as being their Backer, while becoming on the Federal Government to allow operatives of the outfit to make use of AK-47 and other standard weapons to fight banditry in the southwest.
