Ilkay Gündogan Signs with FC Barcelona

Barcelona has announced the signing of Ilkay Gündogan, the German midfielder, from Manchester City. Gündogan has signed a contract that will keep him at Barcelona until June 2025, with an option for a further season. The 31-year-old midfielder is considered one of the best in his position and will add depth and experience to Barcelona’s squad.

Gündogan began his career at VfL Bochum before joining 1. FC Nürnberg in 2009. He later played for Borussia Dortmund before joining Manchester City in 2016. Gündogan has won several titles with Manchester City, including the recently won champions league, three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and four League Cups. He has also played for the German national team and was part of the squad that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

With Gündogan’s experience and quality, Barcelona’s midfield will be a force to be reckoned with next season.
