In 2027, the Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held an important strategic meeting to strengthen its prospects for the upcoming general elections. The party’s State Chairman, James Okoroma, brought together all 27 Local Government Area (LGA) Chairmen and key stakeholders at the party’s office in New Owerri. The gathering aimed to reinforce unity, review progress, and prepare for a decisive victory in 2027.
During the session, the Chairmen and party members reiterated their dedication to expanding ADC’s influence across Imo State. Okoroma highlighted the strides made through persistent membership drives and the ongoing revalidation exercises, which have bolstered the party’s foothold at the grassroots level. He praised the LG Chairmen for their leadership, sacrifice, and effective coordination, especially during the distribution and revalidation of Ward Party Registers. Their efforts, he noted, are crucial in ensuring peaceful and transparent processes that strengthen party cohesion.
The Chairman emphasized grassroots mobilization as a key strategy, urging leaders at ward and LGA levels to uphold integrity, inclusiveness, and commitment in their activities. He reiterated that broadening the party’s reach and attracting more supporters remain top priorities for ADC as it prepares for the 2027 elections.
The LG Chairmen, led by Omah Pius Omah, responded positively, expressing appreciation for the leadership of the State Working Committee. They pledged to deepen grassroots engagement, unite efforts, and work tirelessly to secure victory for ADC in 2027.
