Information Minister: President Tinubu Won’t Resign Amid Economic Challenges
By: Emmanuel Ibitoye
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has responded to the call by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors for President Bola Tinubu to resign due to the nation’s economic crisis.
Minister Idris dismissed the request, describing it as an attempt at distraction. He urged the PDP to focus on supporting the President’s efforts to address economic challenges rather than seeking resignation through intimidation. Idris highlighted ongoing reforms, the fight against insurgency, and accomplishments in oil sector reforms, emphasizing that President Tinubu is committed to overcoming current challenges and building a prosperous Nigeria.
