Inspector-General of Police Mourns Death of DAAR Communications Founder, Raymond Dokpesi

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR, has expressed his condolences over the death of the Founder/Chairman of DAAR Communications, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi. The media mogul, businessman and philanthropist died suddenly on May 29, 2023, according to a statement released by his family.
Describing his death as a monumental loss to Nigeria, the media community, and the African continent at large, the IGP expressed shock at the news. He went on to say that Dokpesi was a respected figure in the media industry and a great philanthropist who touched many lives.
The IGP also offered prayers for the repose of his soul and God’s guidance on the family members, staff of DAAR Communications, and friends of the great philanthropist. The death of Raymond Dokpesi has sent shockwaves through the media industry, with many paying tribute to his legacy as a pioneer and trailblazer.
