IOM, Federal Government Collaborate to Repatriate 155 Nigerian Migrants from Libya

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Federal Government worked together to bring back 155 Nigerian migrants from Libya.
IOM recently collaborated with the Federal Government to repatriate 155 Nigerian irregular migrants who were stranded in various parts of Libya. This information was contained in a statement issued by the IOM on Wednesday in Lagos.
The returnees arrived at the Cargo Wing of Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos, late Tuesday evening. They were transported on board an A1 Buraq Air Boeing 737-800 with registration number 5A-DMG. Out of the 155 returnees, there were 125 females, 22 males, and eight infants.
According to the information shared by IOM, officials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Port Health Service, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRM), and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) were present at the airport to receive the returnees. It’s reassuring to see the collaborative efforts of these organizations in ensuring the safe arrival and support of the returnees. Their presence demonstrates a commitment to providing the necessary assistance and resources to those in need.
