IPERU YOUTH CONGRATULATE GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN, ADVOCATE FOR INCLUSIVENESS, WELCOME PRESIDENT TINUBU
The Iperu Youth Development Association, a platform for all youths of Iperu Remo, proudly extends its warmest congratulations to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, HE. Prince Dapo Abiodun,CON on the successful completion of the Gateway International Airport, Iperu, a landmark project scheduled for official commissioning by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
This historic achievement reflects the Governor’s visionary leadership, strategic foresight, and unwavering commitment to infrastructural transformation. The establishment of the Gateway International Airport is a bold step toward positioning Ogun State as a key player in Nigeria’s aviation sector, while unlocking vast opportunities for trade, tourism, and industrial growth.
As a host community, Iperu stands at the center of this development, and its youth population represents a vital asset in sustaining the success of the airport. We therefore respectfully call on the Ogun State Government to prioritize the inclusion of Iperu youths in the employment structure of the airport across various operational, administrative, technical, and support roles.
The call for youth employment is both strategic and necessary. Engaging local youths will enhance community ownership, strengthen security through local intelligence, and foster a peaceful operational environment. It will also reduce unemployment, curb social vices, and promote economic empowerment among young people directly impacted by this development.
We emphasize that Iperu youths possess the competence, adaptability, and commitment required to contribute meaningfully to the aviation ecosystem. With targeted training and capacity-building initiatives, they can meet the demands of modern airport operations while aligning with global standards. The youth of Iperu will be glad to support the government in many capacities to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of this laudable project.
In addition, prioritizing host community employment aligns with fairness, inclusivity, and sustainable development. It strengthens trust between government and the people, ensures equitable access to opportunities, and reinforces the social stability necessary for the airport to thrive.
We also use this medium to warmly welcome the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to Iperu ahead of the official commissioning of the Gateway International Airport. We look forward to receiving Mr. President and witnessing this historic moment in our community.
Once again, we congratulate Governor Dapo Abiodun and commend all stakeholders involved in delivering this monumental project. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that drive growth, unity, and shared prosperity in Ogun State.
