JAMB Releases Additional 531 Withheld UTME Results for 2024
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of an additional 531 results from the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), bringing the total number of released results to 1,842,897.
In a statement issued by the board’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, and made available to DAILY POST on Tuesday, JAMB disclosed that the screening of over 64,000 previously withheld results is ongoing. Benjamin stated, “As promised, the Board is proceeding with the screening of over 64,000 withheld results. It has, however, released additional 531 results, taking the total number of results released to 1,842,897.”
Furthermore, the statement highlighted the discovery of additional cases of examination misconduct, totaling 92, up from the initial count of 81. JAMB also acknowledged ongoing investigations into cases of unverified candidates, with plans to provide further updates on the matter.
Recalling the earlier announcement by JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, on April 29, it was revealed that out of the 1,904,189 candidates who sat for the examination, the results of 64,624 were withheld pending investigation.
