Jigi ABO Restores Hope Through Vision: Beneficiaries Praise Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole’s Free Eye Care Initiative
Residents of Sagamu Local Government in Ogun State have expressed their gratitude for Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole’s innovative Jigi ABO Eye Health Intervention. This free medical outreach aims to enhance the quality of life for individuals by providing accessible eye care. Since its launch, the initiative has seen an impressive turnout, reflecting ABO’s commitment to people-centered leadership and development in the Remo zone.
Among the beneficiaries, Mrs. Oduwole Abosede recounted her experience during an interview at the outreach, calling the program a “divine intervention.” “For years, I struggled to find affordable eye care. Thanks to Jigi ABO, I can see clearly again. This initiative is more than just medical assistance—it has restored my dignity, clarity, and hope,” she expressed gratefully.
At the event, Comrade Adeshina Bunmi Adigun, a key coordinator of the initiative, highlighted that the project is not solely about correcting vision but also about empowering individuals to reclaim their lives and engage actively in their communities. “When people can see, they become more productive and confident, contributing to civic activities like voting,” he stated, noting that Jigi ABO embodies sustainable development and serves as a model of progressive leadership.
Another coordinator, known as Nuvember, praised Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole for his vision and dedication to humanitarian efforts. “The impact of this health program is immeasurable. He has changed countless lives, restoring hope for those who thought they would never receive medical attention. It’s time for the people of Remo to support him politically as he has supported them,” he remarked.
Hon. (Dr.) Jamiu Adeshola Oyenuga, a prominent political figure and healthcare advocate who is running for the chairmanship in the upcoming PDP local government elections, also commended the initiative. He described it as one of the most significant grassroots healthcare interventions in recent years. “It takes a true leader to launch such a comprehensive eye care program. I encourage our community to acknowledge his contributions and support him in the upcoming Remo Federal Constituency By-election,” he affirmed.
The outreach has attracted participants from various backgrounds across Sagamu and surrounding areas, underscoring ABO’s popularity and the public’s trust in his leadership. Volunteers, party members, and healthcare professionals have worked diligently to ensure every participant receives quality services, including eye screenings, free glasses, and medications. The initiative also promotes awareness about the importance of regular health checks, particularly among the elderly and vulnerable groups.
Comrade Bosun Davies Soyoye emphasized the program’s success as a prelude to future efforts. “We aim to expand this movement beyond Sagamu. Residents of Ikenne, Remo North, and other parts of Ogun State can rest assured that help is on the way. This is just the beginning; our goal is to ensure everyone has access to quality healthcare,” he remarked.
As the first phase of the outreach concludes, local residents are hopeful for its continuation beyond a one-time event. The overwhelming appreciation from the community has highlighted the critical need for more health-focused interventions and community-driven solutions. With Jigi ABO, Asiwaju Bolarinwa Oluwole is not only addressing eye health but also fostering a renewed vision of hope, inclusion, and progress throughout Remoland.
