Kara Central Mosque in Sagamu Celebrates Annual Turbaning Ceremony

The historic town of Sagamu witnessed a vibrant celebration as Kara Central Mosque held its annual turbaning ceremony on Saturday at the Muslim High School premises. The event, which drew a large gathering of faithfuls from across the state, marked a significant occasion in the religious calendar of the Muslim community.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of distinguished guests, Islamic scholars (Alfas), and the newly turbanned community leaders, creating an atmosphere of reverence and unity. Among the notable attendees were prominent Islamic figures such as Alhaji Quidri Junid, the General Chief Imam of Remoland; Fadilat Sheilku Al-Lmam Shakirudeen Shoda; Sheikh Alhaji Ismail Haseen Adekunle Gbamalada, the Fakaruli Wahizeen of Oyo State; and Fadilat Sheik Alhaji Shaku Al-Lmam of Kara Center Mosque. Also present were Alhaji Abdul-Waheed Shittu, the father of the day; Alhaji Shakairudeen Odumosu Tajudeen, the chairman of the event; Alhaji Safi Yusuf Akanni, chairman of the Kara Muslim community; Alhaji Abdulkabir Alimi, chairman of the planning committee; and Alhaja Fatimo Akinsanya, the mother of the day.
The highlight of the event was a heartfelt lecture delivered by Sheikh Alhaji Ismail Hussein Adekunle Gbamalada, who offered inspiring insights and spiritual guidance to the congregation. His speech resonated deeply with attendees, emphasizing unity, faith, and the importance of community service.
Following the lecture, the ceremony proceeded to the main event: the turbaning of distinguished members of the Kara Muslim community.

– Alhaji Ishau Adebayo Gbolagade, turbaned as Adeen General.
– Alhaji Abdul-raheem Raji, recognized as Asiwaju Adeen General.
– Alhaji Muhammad-Jamiu Adanlawo, turbaned as Ajijola Anabi General.
– Alhaja Ramotalahi-Lawal, appointed as Suna General.
– Alhaja Muibat-Akewusola (HELP-E), as Alatunse Adeen General.
– Alhaji Sakiru-Ishola, recognized as Giwa-Adeen General.
– Alhaja Ramota-Shonaike, turbaned as Osupa-Adeen General.
– Mrs. Amusa Zainab Olusola, as Alakoso Adeen General.
– Alhaji Mufatau-Awoyemi (Prince), appointed as Balogun Adeen General.
During the event, some of the turbanned leaders expressed their gratitude to Kara Central Mosque for the recognition and honor bestowed upon them, underscoring the significance of community support and religious unity.
The ceremony culminated with a vote of thanks delivered by Alhaji Abdulkabir Alimi, chairman of the planning committee, who appreciated everyone’s attendance and participation in making the event a success.
