Lagos Police Apprehend 2 Robbery Suspects Following Hotel Attack

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended two robbery suspects linked to a recent attack on guests at a hotel in the Alagbado area of the state.

Confirming the arrests on Tuesday, the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that the Agbado Police Division operatives, acting on a distress call received during a residential patrol directed by the Area P Commander, swiftly responded to the robbery incident around 12:30 a.m. on Monday.

According to Hundeyin, upon arrival at the scene, the police engaged the hoodlums, resulting in the arrest of two suspects, while others managed to flee. The police seized four locally-made guns, two vehicles (a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Camry), ammunition, mobile phones, ATM cards, wristwatches, handbags, and cash amounting to N50,000 from the arrested suspects. Additionally, it was reported that two lodgers sustained injuries during the robbery and were promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the apprehended suspects, part of a gang of nine, originated from the Agbara area of the state with the intent to terrorize the Alagbado community. As the investigation progresses, authorities are actively pursuing the remaining gang members.
