The Lagos State Government, under the leadership of Dr. Monsurat Adeleke, Permanent Secretary of Health District III, has officially opened the newly constructed Iraye-Oke Primary Health Centre.

The facility, brought to fruition through the efforts of Hon. Wale Raji, Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Epe Federal Constituency, aims to enhance healthcare services in the region.

Completed in 2023, the Iraye-Oke Primary Health Centre began operations on Monday, staffed by medical personnel appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. This development marks a significant milestone in the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to improve access to quality healthcare.

During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Adeleke highlighted the centre’s strategic importance, especially in light of recent public health challenges. She stated, “The launch of this health centre, coming at a time when Lagos is contending with cholera cases, couldn’t be more timely. Together, we strive to ensure no one is left behind in accessing quality healthcare.”

Hon. Raji expressed his gratitude to the state government for providing the essential resources and medical personnel necessary for the centre’s operation. He emphasized the collaborative efforts that have been pivotal in bringing this project to completion.

Additionally, Ismail Akinloye, Chairman of Eredo LCDA, pledged ongoing support for community health initiatives. He lauded Raji’s instrumental role in establishing the health centre and highlighted the LCDA’s commitment to fostering cross-sector cooperation in delivering essential health services.
