Lidero Festival Reaches Fever Pitch: Idado Community Unites in Cultural Splendor

The ancient town of Idado is aglow with the radiant spirit of its forebears as the maiden edition of the Lidero Festival reaches its crescendo. This resplendent celebration, which commenced on September 15, 2024, has convened residents, dignitaries, and cultural aficionados to pay homage to the community’s revered traditions.
On the third day of this grand festivity, Monday, September 16, 2024, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) offered fervent prayers for the Radanuwa of Idado, Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, and his illustrious family. The monarch’s munificent donation to the CAN was met with heartfelt supplications for his prosperous reign, invoking the divine blessings of the Almighty.
As the golden hues of dusk enveloped the town, the festival transformed into a dazzling spectacle of cultural pageantry. Masquerades from Sagamu, Ofin, and Idado, adorned in resplendent regalia, mesmerized the audience with their energetic performances. The captivating “Yoppy Danger” masquerade stole the spotlight, eliciting thunderous applause and ecstatic cheers from the enthralled crowd.
The royal family, comprising the king and queen, joined the venerable chiefs in reveling in the joyous atmosphere, their countenances radiant with smiles and enthusiasm. The palpable energy of the crowd created an electrifying ambiance that pulsed through the air, imbuing the celebration with an otherworldly essence.
