Makun Obaruwa Festival of Arts and Culture Presents Obaruwa Cup 2024: “Play 4 Peace and Progress”

The Makun Obaruwa Festival of Arts and Culture revealed the fixtures for the highly anticipated Obaruwa Cup 2024. The tournament, themed “Play 4 Peace and Progress,” promises to showcase thrilling football matches and celebrate the power of sports in bringing people together.
The matches kick off on Tuesday, February 13th, with a clash between AJAKA FC and SURULERE FC, followed by more exciting encounters in the days to come.
The tournament will take place at the Sagamu High School, with the semi-finals scheduled for Monday, February 19th. The winners of the matches between A vs. B and C vs. D will battle it out for a spot in the final. The grand finale will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, at the FC EBEDEI STADIUM in Apele Makun Sagamu, starting at 2 PM.
Alongside the intense competition, the Obaruwa Cup will also recognize outstanding individuals with awards for the best player, best goalkeeper, highest goal scorer, fair play, and best team. The first-place team will receive a prize of 200,000, while the second-place team will be awarded 100,000.
The tournament not only brings excitement and competition but also serves as a platform to promote peace and progress through the universal language of sports.
