Man Fatally Stabbed in Dispute Over Loan Repayment
In the Ijeun Titun area of Abeokuta South Local Government Area, Ogun State, a man named Remi was fatally stabbed during a confrontation over a loan issue.
According to sources, Remi was harassed by individuals suspected to be loan sharks, leading to a heated argument with Seyi, Ayeke, and Bado. During the altercation, Remi was stabbed in the neck, resulting in severe blood loss and his subsequent death.
Following Remi’s demise, Seyi and Ayeke fled the scene, while Bado was apprehended by community members and handed over to the police. The community is demanding justice for Remi’s death, alleging that Seyi and his accomplices conspired to commit the crime.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation is underway to ensure that the perpetrators face the full consequences of the law. The police are treating the case as suspected murder, emphasizing the seriousness with which they are approaching the matter to deliver justice for the victim, Remi.
