Man Loses Eye in Confrontation with Security Men in Sango Ota
A man identified as Ramon Rasaq has reportedly lost his right eye in a confrontation with security men in Sango Ota area of Ogun state. This was confirmed in a statement made available by the State’s Police Command.
The allegation claims that Ramon Rasaq apparently opened the gate without the two on-duty guards, Ganiyu Saka and Michael Adelayo, and while he was walking into the street, the men became enraged.
During the the argument one of the security men Ganiyu Saka shot the victim in his eyes.
However, a source Abiodun Fatai, reported that victim was rushed to a traditional healer who successfully removed seven pellets from his right eye
CSP Saleh Dahiru, Divisional Police Officer of Sango Ota, was said to have provided the necessary medical forms for the victim to be transferred to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where he received immediate medical attention to stabilize his condition.
In his statement“ He lost his right eye, but the doctor on duty has assured that Ramon is currently responding positively to treatment.
On the direction of Police Commissioner CP Abiodun Alamutu, the suspects are to be sent to State Criminal Investigation Departments for additional investigation and possible prosecution.
