Meet Olutoyin Ajeyemi of NollyWood
Born Olutoyin Aimakhu, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi is a Nigeria filmmaker and actress born in the early 1980s. Toyin was born in Auchi, Edo State, but grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Olutoyin attended Oba Kenzo Nursery and Primary School, Benin; Queen’s Staff School and later St. Anne’s School in Ibadan for her secondary education. She proceeded to Iree Polytechnic, Osun where she got National Diploma in Business Studies, and her Higher Diploma (Marketing) in The Polytechnic, Ibadan. Her thirst for education prompt her to bag another degree in Philosophy from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
However, her acting career started in Ibadan when the veteran actress, Bukky Wright came to Ibadan to shoot a movie, Dugbe Dugbe in 2003. Since then, she has acted in more than hundred movies, some of which she directed herself and others she made herself. She is quite famous for her unique comic roles in movies. Her consistency and excellent performances have allowed her to work with lots of the top act in the industry.
Her work has granted her a huge success both on set and off set. She has gained recognition both on national and international level. Her movies such as Alakada, Alakada Reloaded, Fate of Alakada, Ijakumo among others were blockbuster which fetched her quite some fortune and awarded. Movies like Ghost and Thout, The Prophetess, The Therapist, etc in which she featured gave her skill on set a masterpiece.
