Olanrewaju Ogunmefun stage known as Vector Tha Viper is a Nigerian rapper and singer-songwriter, whose art is expectional in all dynamics.
He was born the fourth child of his parent in Lagos State, but hails from Ogun State. He schooled in Ijebu Ode Grammar School, Government College Victoria Island, St Gregory’s College, going on to bag a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy in 2008.
While in school, was involved in various social activities in which he was made to perform from the stage. He formed a group of three called Badder Boiz with Krystal & Blaze. The group wrote their own songs, released their demo in the same year went on to start performing at showcases as a trio. The group fell out in 2004, giving room for Vector to go back to school to bag Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from University of Lagos.
After the release of “Kilode” for the album State of Surprise in February 2010, Vector has become an household name in the country. He has released three (3) studio album in total after his first album State of Surprise was released in 29 October 2010. He has featured and has also being featured with many top artiste such as 2 Face Idibia, General Pype, Chuddy K, Ade Piper, Emmsong, Sista Soul, 9ice, M.I Abaga, Phyno, Reminisce, etc. He has also featured international acts on his works, such as Born Leader with Mavado of DJ Khaled’s We the Best Music Group.
Famous for his indigenous blend of Yoruba and English to make fast rhymes, he aims to keep the spirit of Nigerian hip-hop alive. He has “the longest freestyle rap in Nigeria” His works has proved in many dynamics that not only can passion make money, but can also influence people and promote the image of the country. His ‘supposed’ beef with fellow has made them quite some fortunes, and gained Nigerian hip-hop a spot on international sites. His arts has enjoyed massive reception fromt the audience and massive plays across the country. His feature with 9ice in Angeli, Mr Vector with Jazzy are worth record breaking in the world of hits!
