NAHCON Commends Ogun State Pilgrims Welfare Board for effective Coordination

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has applauded the Ogun State Pilgrims Welfare Board for demonstrating capacity in the effective coordination of activities at the 2023 Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The commendation was given by the Team Leader, NAHCON Assessment and Award Committee, Alhaji Ashim Sulaimon, when he led his team on a visit to the Ogun Pilgrims tent in Mina, Saudi Arabia. Sulaimon noted that the management of the commission had taken note of all lapses noticed during this year’s exercise, and promised to ensure improvement in subsequent yearly exercises.
The Amir-ul-hajj of Ogun State, Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, appreciated the commission for the visit and urged them to look into various complaints of the board and correct the anomalies. He also expressed his gratitude for the commendation, saying that it was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the board.

Sulaimon said that the team was amazed by the general well-being and orderliness of the pilgrims, and that the observations will be relayed to the authority for other states to emulate. The commendation is a recognition of the board’s hard work and dedication to ensuring that the 2023 Hajj exercise was a success.
The management of the commission has also promised to ensure that subsequent yearly exercises are better coordinated and more effective.
