Natasha Challenges Gov. Ododo, Announces Sallah Visit to Constituency
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has reaffirmed her intention to return to her constituency during the Sallah break, despite swirling rumors about the cancellation of her visit. She called on her supporters to disregard these speculations.
In a statement released by her media team on Tuesday, Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized that her plans remain unchanged. This announcement comes in the wake of the Kogi State Government’s decision to prohibit rallies and public gatherings due to reported security concerns. The government also suspended fishing and other activities, citing that recent fishing incidents led to the tragic loss of two lives in the Kogi West Local Government Area, specifically in Kasemiya, Katubo, and Umozu Ette.
“To clarify, there has been no official communication from our office regarding the cancellation of this visit, despite the rumors circulating online. We assure the public that all necessary arrangements are in place for a successful and festive event. We invite all community members to participate in this special occasion,” the statement reads.
