NETWORKING IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF DEVELOPMENT, OGD SAYS
Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the former governor commenced the tour on Monday amidst fanfare in all the 10 wards of the Ijebu North East Local Government.
Otunba Gbenga Daniel, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Ogun East in 2023 elections, stated that the essence of his ward-ward tour is to network with people at the grassroots and to get first hand information about the expectation of the people from him
Daniel said, “What we are doing is grassroots networking with our people with loads of direct empowerment and scholarship awards via the Gateway Front Foundation which we have been operating continuously for 20 years.
“Of course we use the opportunity to sell the party and the candidates, especially the presidential and other candidates that may never have the time and energy for a comprehensive ward to ward movement.
“The run has been well received and the hitherto low response and enthusiasm of our people have been rekindled through these activities. It’s a lot of hard work and the masses are very happy that hope is rekindled.”
Several community leaders who also spoke during the tour, extolled the virtues of Daniel, saying he remains the best candidate to provide quality represention for Ogun East in the National Assembly.
They expressed confidence that based on his track record and outstanding achievements in all sectors while he served as governor of the state, Daniel would attract people-oriented projects to the senatorial district if elected in 2023.
