On Thursday, President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, submitted a list of 28 proposed ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening. The list includes prominent politicians, technocrats, and professionals from different fields. Some of the proposed nominees include Governors David Umahi and Nyesom Wike, former Governors Nasir El-Rufai, Mohammed Badaru, Ali Pate, and other notable personalities in the country.

The Senate will begin the screening process for the proposed ministerial nominees in the coming days. The screening process is expected to be thorough, with the Senate scrutinizing the proposed nominees’ qualifications, experience, and suitability for the positions. The proposed nominees will be expected to answer questions on their track record, achievements, and plans for their respective ministries.

The submission of the proposed ministerial nominees is a significant step towards forming President Tinubu’s cabinet. The proposed nominees are a mix of politicians and technocrats, indicating that the President is keen on having a cabinet that can deliver on his promises to Nigerians. The Senate’s screening process will determine the suitability of the proposed nominees, and it is expected that the President’s cabinet will be formed soon after the screening process is completed.
