NiMet Forecasts 3-Day Weather Outlook with Sunny, Cloudy Conditions
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather forecast predicting a mixture of sunshine and cloudiness across the nation from Friday to Sunday.
According to the NiMet weather outlook released on Thursday in Abuja, sunny skies are expected in a hazy atmosphere over the northern region on Friday, with the exception of Taraba State, where pockets of clouds may be visible.
The agency anticipates patches of clouds with sunny atmosphere over the North Central region during the forecast period. However, the southern region is forecasted to experience a cloudy atmosphere, with the possibility of morning thunderstorms over parts of Cross River and Akwa Ibom states.
Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected over several states including Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo, Delta, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Abia, and Imo.
On Saturday, NiMet predicts sunny skies with a hazy atmosphere in the northern region, while isolated thunderstorms are expected over parts of Kaduna state in the afternoon and evening. The North Central region is forecasted to have patches of clouds with sunny skies in the morning, followed by isolated thunderstorms in some states later in the day.
In the southern region, a cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is expected, with isolated thunderstorms forecasted over parts of Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Rivers states in the morning, and later in the day across the region.
Sunday’s forecast indicates sunny skies with a hazy atmosphere over the northern region, while the North Central region is expected to experience sunny atmosphere with patches of clouds during the morning period.
