OGSG Advocates for Establishment of Court of Appeal Division to Enhance Swift Justice Delivery

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has advocated for the establishment of the Ogun Division of the Court of Appeal to ensure swift justice delivery in the state.

During a meeting with the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, the Governor emphasized the need for this division to ease the workload of judges in the Ibadan Division.

The Governor commended the President’s efforts in expediting appeals through the decongestion initiative and underscored the importance of timely justice delivery. He also lauded the state judiciary for their support in implementing reforms and establishing a special court for cultism cases.

Justice Dongban-Mensem acknowledged the workload challenges faced by the Ibadan Division and assured the Governor that steps would be taken to address the issue. She also commended the Governor’s administration for its transformation efforts and collaboration with the judiciary, which brings immense satisfaction to the state government.
