OGSG SECRETARY GIVES OUT OVER 100 SCHOLARSHIPS TO IJEBU NORTH LGA
The Secretary to the Ogun state Governor Mr. Olatokunbo Joseph Talabi during an interactive meeting with the youths of Oru at the Oru-ijebu Town Hall declared scholarship for about 100 students of Oru-Ijebu in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
He said it is yet another various initiatives place towards uplifting people out of poverty and engender self actualization for the youths of the community and to also enhance the economic and social prospects of the people.
However, during the interactive session, the youths who took turns to speak, requested for more road constructions including Awolowo-Panada road, employment opportunities, the resuscitation of the magistrates and customary courts in Oru, provision of transformer as well as clear-cut delineation of the borders between Oru and Ago-Iwoye areas.
Talabi encouraged the youths to key into and take advantage of the various employment opportunities and initiatives of the State Government including the Oko’wo Dapo and Ogun teach scheme as more are to be recruited by the government as the Dapo Abiodun-lead government has done a lot for Ijebu-North Local Government Area including the five major roads constructed amidst others.
He also assured that the government will look into reviving and refurbishing the customary court in Oru after which magistrates and other judicial staff will be deployed to the area.
