OGSIEC Announces Bye-Election to Fill Vacant Councillor Position in Ilado, Odogbolu LGA

Following the passing of former councillor, Olufemi Taiwo, Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has declared that a bye-election will be held on Thursday, October 26, to fill the vacant Councillor position in Ilado, Ward 10, Odogbolu Local Government Area.

This announcement was made by Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, the Chairman of OGSIEC, during a meeting with representatives from political parties, security agencies, and other relevant stakeholders in Odogbolu LGA.

During the meeting, Gbemi Onasanya, representing the OGSIEC Chairman, stressed the commission’s dedication to ensuring an equitable, transparent, and unbiased election.

He called on all political parties and stakeholders to uphold fairness throughout the electoral process. The bye-election timetable spans from Thursday, September 28, to Thursday, October 26, 2023.
