Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has announced a collaborative effort between the state government and federal agencies to implement robust safety measures for the transportation and distribution of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) nationwide.

This initiative follows a recent gas explosion in the state, which prompted a visit from the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, at the behest of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The governor’s announcement highlights the state’s commitment to prioritizing public safety and mitigating potential risks associated with CNG transportation and distribution.

“Following the minister’s visit, a collaborative effort has been initiated between governmental bodies and relevant agencies to implement stringent safety measures for the transportation and distribution of CNG across the nation.

“This proactive approach aims to mitigate potential risks and ensure the secure delivery of CNG to consumers, prioritising public safety above all else.” Governor Dapo Abiodun said.

The joint effort aims to introduce stringent safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future, ensuring the secure delivery of CNG to consumers.
