Ogun State Government ,Grants Educational Support to Students

In a bid to alleviate the financial strain on students within its jurisdiction, the Ogun State government, under the directive of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, has initiated a significant education grant program.
The memo, issued by the Minister of Education, Abayomi Arigbabu, on February 14th, unveiled the ‘OgunEduCASH’ initiative, officially named the Ogun State Educational Cash Award for Students’ Help.
The focal point of this initiative is the disbursement of a substantial Education Grant totaling N50,000 to each students in tertiary institutions across Ogun State. Notably, the grant also extends to primary and secondary school students, with N10,000 allocated to indigent pupils in public primary and secondary schools. Furthermore, the government is distributing free exercise books to pupils in both primary and secondary schools.
The Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, kickstarted the distribution of the Education Grant as a measure to contribute to the maintenance and affordability of education during challenging times. To substantiate the credibility of the initiative, beneficiaries have shared evidence of the funds received on the ‘X’ app.
The government assures all eligible recipients of the grant to remain patient as the disbursement process unfolds, emphasizing its commitment to reaching every qualified student. This proactive step by the Ogun State government aims to foster educational access and support within the region.
