Ogun State Government Plans Agricultural, Mineral Resources Trade Fair with DAWN Commission, Private Sector

The Ogun State government recently held a meeting with officials of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission and members of the private sector to plan for the upcoming 3rd South West Agricultural and Mineral Resources Trade Fair. The fair is scheduled to hold in the State later in the year.
The Chairman of the Fair’s Local Organising Committee (LOC) and Director of Geological Services in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Lekan Eniolawun, expressed the State’s determination to host the best edition in the history of the Fair. The programme involves all the South Western States and is aimed at linking and promoting the products of stakeholders in the agriculture and solid minerals value chain across the region.
The LOC Chairman disclosed that Ogun State is going to improve on the Fair this year in all areas, including participation and attendance by relevant stakeholders. He assured that the State is going to work hand-in-glove with relevant stakeholders and relate with the industries that offtake the agricultural and solid minerals in the State to ensure the right stakeholders are part of the Trade Fair.
The Head of Programmes at DAWN Commission, Mr. Abiodun Oladipo, lauded the Ogun State Government for putting together an LOC towards the success of the Fair. The Trade Fair is aimed at building interaction and showcasing the mineral endowment across the region.
