Ogun State Govt Approves 2-Day Work-From-Home Policy for Public Servants

In a bid to alleviate the burden of transportation costs and improve the standard of living of public servants in Ogun State, Governor Dapo Abiodun has approved a 2-day off-duty per week policy for officers on Grade Level 01-14. This was contained in a circular letter issued by the Office of the Head of Service, dated September 11, 2024.
The policy, aimed at motivating and energizing the workforce, allows officers on Grade Level 01-14 to take two days off duty per week, while those on Grade Level 15-17 will maintain one day off duty per week. Accounting officers have been directed to implement the policy and ensure that service delivery is not compromised.
The gesture is seen as a response to the recent increase in petrol prices and its attendant impact on transportation costs and the general standard of living.
