Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture Visits Lagos State Agricultural Land Holdings Authority for Knowledge Exchange

The Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture recently embarked on a visit to the Lagos State Agricultural Land Holdings Authority (LSALHA) at its Oko-Oba Head Office in Agege. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the working process of LSALHA and understand its well-planned policy and scheme classifications, including farm estates, farm settlements, corporate allocation, and investors’ initiatives.

The acting General Manager of LSALHA, Mrs. Samiat Raji, emphasized the importance of functional working processes and policies that prevent the loss of agricultural lands to land grabbers. The delegation from Ogun State expressed their aim to acquire new knowledge on agricultural land management and replicate the successful practices observed in Lagos.

Mrs. Raji, the acting General Manager of LSALHA, reassured the visiting delegation from Ogun State that the Lagos State government is committed to food security and expressed LSALHA’s readiness to provide technical support and advice to Ogun State in their efforts to enhance agricultural land management.

Mr. Samuel Adeogun, the Permanent Secretary of the Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture and leader of the delegation, emphasized the importance of upgrading and replicating the successful practices observed in Lagos to ensure sustainable and affordable food production in Ogun State. The visit aimed to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration between the two states in line with their shared goals of agricultural development.
