Ogun State Police Investigate Sudden Death of 35-Year-Old Man
A 35-year-old Nigerian man, Felix Vhimga, has been found dead in mysterious circumstances in Ojowo, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.
Mr. Vhimga had visited his brother, Sunday Robert, on November 11, departing around 9 pm local time. When he failed to return home the following day, his brother initiated a search.
“As reported by Sunday Terkuma Robert, Felix’s brother, Felix visited him on November 11 and left around 9 pm. When Felix couldn’t be reached the next day, Robert searched for him and eventually reported to the police,” a police source told our correspondent.
The corpse was discovered on November 13 at approximately 7 am local time with a visible wound near the left eye. Police officials inspected the scene, retrieved the body, and transported it to Alayangbe Private Morgue for autopsy.
Sunday Robert expressed concern over his brother’s sudden disappearance and death. “We were worried when Felix didn’t return home. We searched everywhere and reported to the police. We want justice for my brother,” he said.
The Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the incident. “Investigation is ongoing,” the police source confirmed.
Efforts to reach Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, as at the time of filing the report were unsuccessful. The police command has assured the public that they will provide updates on the investigation.
