Ogun State Produces Certified Digital Technicians Through Successful PPP-Driven Training Program
The Ogun State Government’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) system has once again demonstrated its effectiveness by producing certified digital technicians, poised to enhance hardware troubleshooting, equipment configuration, and other technical skills.
This achievement was announced during the convocation ceremony held at Ogun TechHub in Abeokuta, marking the graduation of the pilot group of associates from a free Cybersqauard Training Programme, organized in collaboration with Cybervilla.
During the event, Cybervilla CEO Ifeanyi Adirika emphasized that partnering with Ogun State’s government to provide free technical training to young people underscores the genuine spirit of the PPP initiative championed by Prince Dapo Abiodun. Adirika further explained that the graduates of the inaugural training programme have formed a network of skilled, empowered, and innovative digital technicians. These professionals are equipped to revolutionize the way digital device troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and configurations are carried out across Nigeria, with Ogun State proudly represented among them.
In a goodwill message, the Special Adviser on ICT, Dayo Abiodun, congratulated the graduates, noting that the training modules have effectively broken down the barriers to becoming tech engineers. He stated that the initiative, supported by the Ogun State government and Cybervilla, is part of a broader effort to strengthen youth development and digital ecosystems, fostering employment and economic growth.
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, also congratulated the graduates and praised the opportunities provided by Ogun TechHub, established by Governor Dapo Abiodun, to expose young people to the potential of technology and digital marketing.
Represented by Olatundun Adekunte, Director of Standard Regulations Planning and Research at the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT), he urged the graduates to promote awareness of the programme, aiming to reduce unemployment rates significantly.
Expressing gratitude, beneficiary Timilehin Ajisebutu assured that he and fellow graduates will leverage the knowledge gained during the three-month training to succeed in their careers, fulfilling their aspirations of becoming certified digital technicians.
