Ogun State Public Complaints Commission Pays Visit to Dangote Cement Plant, Ibese, Yewa North
The Ogun State Office of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), led by the Honorable Federal Commissioner, Hon. Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye, alongside members of the Commission’s management team, paid an official visit to Dangote Cement Factory, Ibese Plant, Yewa North, Ogun State, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
The delegation was warmly received by the Plant Director, Mr. Ayyagari Subbaraidu, and other top management officials. The visit aimed to deepen mutual understanding, explore avenues for collaboration, and enhance engagement between the Commission and Dangote Cement Ibese.
During the meeting, Hon. Akinleye outlined the constitutional mandate of the PCC as Nigeria’s Ombudsman, tasked with promoting administrative and social justice by addressing public complaints against both government and private institutions. He also highlighted notable achievements recorded within his first eleven months in office, emphasizing his commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen-focused service delivery.
Speaking on behalf of the Ibese Plant, the Head of Social Performance, Mr. Ademola Ojolowo, shared insights into the company’s operations, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and its contributions to national development. Additional updates were presented by the Heads of Transport, Safety Services, and Human Resources. The Plant Director further pledged the company’s readiness to collaborate with PCC to positively impact host communities and Ogun State at large.
Hon. Akinleye reaffirmed PCC’s vital role in protecting citizens from oppression and administrative injustice,a mandate the institution has upheld for fifty years. He also encouraged Dangote Group to maintain its reputation for accountability and proactive engagement in addressing stakeholder concerns, while commending the company’s ongoing commitment to corporate responsibility and best practices in industrial relations.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing strong dedication to sustained dialogue and collaboration for the benefit of public service and national development.
