A group of oil marketers led by Dapo Abiodun, the former chairman of the Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, has announced their intentions to donate between 50 to 100 fifty-seater mass transit buses that run on compressed natural gas (CNG). The donation is aimed at cushioning the effect of the removal of the Four trillion naira subsidy burden that was recently removed by President Tinubu GCFR. The buses are expected to be donated within the next 30 days.

The group of marketers expressed their solidarity with the President for removing the subsidy, saying that it would enhance socio-economic development, especially at the sub-national level. The donation of the buses is seen as a way to help the people who may be affected by the subsidy removal. The buses will be used for mass transit and will run on CNG, which is a cleaner and more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fuels.

The move is also seen as a way to promote the use of cleaner fuels and reduce the country’s carbon footprint. The oil marketers have been commended for their generosity and for their efforts to support the government’s agenda for socio-economic development.
