Olota of Ota Clears Illegal Parking, Declares Coca-Cola Road One-Way

While addressing the ongoing issues of illegal parking and traders causing obstruction on the bustling Ojuore road, Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, led a comprehensive exercise yesterday, February 19, 2024 with the aim to ensure free passage for motorists within the axis by eliminating congestion, obstructions, and potential traffic accidents.
The Kabiyesi actively participated in chasing traders, okada riders, tricyclists, and commercial vehicles off the road. During this exercise, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege issued a standing order, prohibiting any form of illegal parking, blocking, or obstruction on the Ojuore road. The monarch emphasized the importance of maintaining clear roads for smooth traffic flow.
Additionally, Olota of Ota conveyed a significant change regarding the Coca-Cola road, declaring it a one-way street with entry only. To ensure motorists are aware of this new development, the monarch instructed the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) to erect a road sign signaling the updated traffic regulations.
The monarch collaborated with various stakeholders to carry out this initiative successfully. Working in conjunction with Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Chairman, Hon Sheriff Musa, Olota partnered with TRACE, Nigerian Army (N-ARMY), Nigerian Navy (N-NAVY), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Police, among others.
The joint effort aimed not only to clear the immediate issues on Ojuore road but also to implement sustainable changes for better traffic management in the area. The Olota of Ota, along with the collaborative team, demonstrated a commitment to ensuring the safety and efficiency of the road network for residents and motorists alike.
