Onimeji of Imeji Celebrates One-Year Coronation Anniversary

The vibrant community of Iperu united in joyous celebration as they marked the one-year anniversary of HRH Oba Babatunde Kayode Olayebo Oremule Soda, the Onimeji of Imeji.
The anniversary ceremony took place on the 16th of February 2024, at St. James’ Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo led by the Vicar VEN. S. O. Ajile. The event was graced by a distinguished gathering of family members, friends, and notable personalities, including Honorable Segun Ibileye, representing the Governor. The Iyalode of Iperu, Rev Adeniyi Osuntoye, Oba Lukman Salami (Ebi of Idena), Oba Isiaka Ogunnaike, Oba Ologere of Ogere, Negbuwa of Ibido.
Other dignitaries in attendance are; Oba Taiwo Bangbose (Onimushin of Mushin,Oba Engr Olatunji Kalejaiye, Oba Odunayo (Aminisan of Oko), Oba Engr. Samuel Olatunji Kalejaiye (Nloku of Iraye Remo), Olofin of Ilishan Oba Mojeed Sanusi, and many other great personalities.
The anniversary ceremony, held at the prestigious St. James’ Anglican Church, was a testament to the Onimeji’s impactful leadership and the unity within the community. During the event, members of the church expressed their gratitude by presenting gifts to Oba Babatunde Kayode Olayebo Oremule Soda, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to the community over the past year.
The presence of esteemed figures and leaders reflected the widespread support and appreciation for the Onimeji’s efforts in fostering development, unity, and progress within Iperu-Remo.
The one-year milestone was not only a celebration of the Onimeji’s reign but also a reaffirmation of the community’s commitment to a future of prosperity under his leadership.
