Our Father was a patriarch: Olusegun Adeyemi
Mr. Oluwasegun Adeyemi has described his late father, Pa Michael Amudasiru Adeyemi, as a patriarch who invested heavily in the Development of all those who came in contact with him during his lifetime.
He said this while speaking at the final burial ceremony of the late icon held at the Ansar-ud-deen Secondary school, Makun, Sagamu.
“My father was a good man, he was one of those few men who treated people with love and respect regardless of their religion or ethnic disposition”
“While alive, Baba Londoner as he was fondly called instilled in us morals that has enabled us to carry-on the family name without any dent or blemish”
“His life and legacy is worth celebrating, that is why people have come all the way from different countries like the United Kingdom, Cameroon, Ghana and Benin Republic, though we will miss his fatherly and loving presence in our lives, we have chosen to celebrate him in grand-style, just as he had requested when he was still alive. “ He said.
When asked about how the late Pa Adeyimi earned the Nickname “Baba Londoner”, one of his other son’s, Mr. Philip Adetola Adeyemi stated that though he was a Farmer, Pa Adeyemi was among the first people in the locality that travelled out of the country to London, hence the nickname.
Adeola Adeyemi while eulogizing the late Baba Londoner, stated that growing up under his tutelage was a blessing as he was not just a father but a teacher who had groomed them go be responsible, hardworking men.
The nonagenarian passed away last year at the age of 97, he is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandfather.
